Water lily blooms

After receiving two half whiskey barrel ponds for free on Craigslist in Febrary, I left them in a partly shaded part of the yard. Today, I spotted this bloom. Several buds are peeking up from the depths. It's looking like it will be a beautiful summer.

St. Edward's flowers bloom

While attending AccessU, the annual accessibility conference held at St. Edward's University, I took a stroll around campus to admire the flowers in bloom. A white pricklypoppy, Argemone albiflora, frames the university's Main Building.
