Project: Steamroller printmaking

Denise and I spent the day making steamroller prints at UT Austin.  The campus was busy because it was Explore UT Day, in which the public is invited to tour the campus. It may be for the best the kite festival was postponed-- I'm beat!

Step two, apply ink to the wood.

Step three, add a sheet of paper or fabric, cover with a sheet of thick plastic, then a carpet.

 

  

 

Step four, run it over with a steamroller.

 

  

 

Let the print dry, then enjoy. We get to pick up our print tomorrow. Can't wait to hang it in the living room.
