The article "Motorcycle club spreads stuttering awareness through Nina’s Ride" in Valley Community Newspapers details a motorcycle ride I organized and led to distribute books to Little Free Libraries in the Sacramento area in celebration of International Stuttering Awareness Day.
Nina's Ride covered more than 100 miles while visiting 15 Little Free Libraries after gathering for coffee and donuts around 8 a.m. Sat., Oct. 15 at Capital City Motorcycle Club (CCMC), 2414 13th St, Sacramento, CA.
Nina’s Ride was inspired by Nina G , a Bay Area woman comedian who stutters. Following one of her stand-up comedy shows in Sacramento, I bought her memoir. I was so moved by her story, I bought 20 copies each of her memoir and children's book to spread awareness about stuttering.
