Basket 4: berry picking basket

Basket 4 -- berry picking basket with pegged handle.

This is my first attempt at 3-rod waling, which is the braided border at the bottom. It keeps the upright rods more evenly spaced. Also the first time trying the overlapping top border, which came out super uneven.

I intended for this to be another growler carrier, but I didn't realize pegged handles are only for light loads.

This is my first go at a pegged handle. In previous baskets, I used some of the uprights as the handle, which is super strong. Here, the handle is inserted from the top, then split to accommodate a horizontal peg to keep it in place. Opens up more options but sacrifices the ability to carry a heavier load.

The 3-rod waling, the braided border at the bottom, keeps the uprights evenly spaced. It's the most consistent spacing I've achieved yet!
