Quartz adorns forested area

Today I found a crystal quarry somewhere between Horseshoe and Hardscrabble mountains on the Colville National Forest.

I had vague directions and wound up exploring 6 dual track roads before finally finding this gem. It's a jumble of rocky masses that peek out of a rock bluff near a dispersed camping site. It's a magical place!
