Male Texas spiny lizard

Here's a male Texas spiny lizard that lives in the backyard.

Two blue patches accent his underbelly. Many male lizards perform a mating ritual, displaying their colors to attract a mate. I've never seen how Texas spiny lizards display their colors. 

Males often show a dull orange band around their neck.
