When Denise found an ad on Craigslist for mannequin heads for $5 each, she had to have them. She knew they'd make for some excellent yard art. Making a planter was a natural fit.
After measuring to fit an appropriately sized pot, the next step was to cut open the top, then bore through the foam core.
After making a small tunnel through the neck and ending at the base for the water to drain, a potted Bulbine frutescens was placed in the head and set out on the landing. A few neighbors did double takes after thinking someone was staring at them from our front door.
Mission accomplished!
